St. Maartin

Our first port was St. Maartin. It has a dutch and a french side. We went to the french side and took a boat ride to a little island that was supposed to have great snorkeling. The boys snorkeled for a little bit, but didn't see much. It was still really pretty though and had calm water. So we mostly just waded and played in the water. Then we went to another beach that was a lot more busy. The water was also a lot more rough on this side and we lost some jewelry and sunglasses. A couple of us got taken out by some waves. We had somewhat of an eye opening experience as to what attire is acceptable on french beaches, so we left and went shopping back on the dutch side. There was a nicer shopping area right by the boat, but the rest of the island reminded me alot of Tiajuana, Mexico.

Our ship was only a couple of years old and really nice. We didn't get a balcony room or anything, but it was still a lot nicer than the one on our honeymoon.

Spray tan vs. no spray tan, you be the judge. Maybe Andy is just a vampire in disguise. Wait his eyes are the wrong color and he doesn't sparkle in the sun. Nevermind.

This is Pinal Island. It was really pretty.

Having lunch on orient beach. All the prices were in Euros. That was kind of hard to get used to.

This is Orient beach. Still pretty, but rougher waters. We didn't dare leave our stuff alone for long. There were lots of begger-ish people selling trinkets all over. They were pretty aggressive. It was still nice and the water was so pretty.
